The LIVING Room

The LIVING Room is a dance performance for families with young children by Malene Juliussen. Merging contemporary dance, parkour and sleight of hand, the piece is inspired by children’s boundless imagination with everyday objects and play. Through an neverending “yes, and” game, the room is transformed through a meeting of two dancers with the scenography. Two bodies become three, become four, become one. What creatures emerge, and what relations are created through the logic of play and imagination?

The LIVING Room is supported by Kulturdirektoratets Founding for pre projects and is currently in the making

Morgenkaffe

“Morning Coffee” tells the story of the busy worker getting ready for the workday, and will be performed live for those on their way to work during rush hour. For most people, a cup of coffee is an essential part of starting the workday. The coffee cup will also be the main character of this performance. An intricate choreography in which the dancers hold onto their coffee cups will be performed around the benches where people sit waiting for the public transport.

As they drink coffee, the performers become more and more alert and excited for the day, and the choreography develops at a pace and tempo; Thus, their day starts with some joyful and cultural entertainment; and an equally important cup of coffee.

Morgenkaffe was supported by Oslo municipality in 2024 and 2025 and performed as a context specific piece in Oslos streets.

Parasitt 1

Om hjernen føles grå og lett forslitt
Lukk munnen opp, svelg ned en parasitt!

I Parasitt 1 infiserer tre nyutdannede koreografer, The Scorpios, avgangsforestillingen The Amazing Presents: ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC (half a plan, half a miracle) av Tóth / Lund / Manthey Steen, og lager sitt eget verk.

Parasitt 1 had its premiere at Black Box Theatre in Oslo 2025
